There are days when I wonder if the garden will really pay off, but today, while working on getting some weeds out, I realized the garden is really coming along. I am eager to see what happens next.
I am not sure if I want to plant a garden next year, but for this year, I am going to keep it going to see how the vegetables grow. As far as I can tell, the hardest of the work is over. Now is the time to sit back and wait to see how many veggies we can get out of it. If it makes financial sense, perhaps a garden is worth the work next year.
Some people may say I am frugal, but they are just being polite. I am outright stingy. Each day I try to find new cheap ways to live. It may not be for everyone, but it is for me... unless I win the lottery soon. Then I am going for a shopping spree at Walmart. So please join me in my thrifty journey through life.

Buy Low-Priced Plants Online
You may not know this, but you do not have to go to the store just to buy house plants. I recently discovered you can order house plants on Amazon. Yes! I was surprised, too.
You can search for a specific type of plant or you can even search for plants within a certain price range. If you are having a hard time finding house plants for a good price, you can literally search for "house plants under $5" or "house plants under $10." Yes, there are a number of plants available!
Make sure to read the reviews first before making any purchases. Many plants come from reputable sellers, but some sellers are not as good as others. Always check that out first before buying the plant. When the plant arrives, it will be a plain cardboard box, just as if you ordered clothes or DVDs. You can then repot the plant in a bigger pot. It is as simple as that!
Ordering plants through Amazon isn't so crazy after all, is it? Check it out and you will be pleased with the low prices and the great quality of the plants.

Save Money with Houseplants You Can't Kill
Everyone likes the look of a nice houseplant or two in their home. Unfortunately, one cannot always keep them alive. It is always disappointing when you spend time and money on a plant, only to kill it in less than a few months. The best thing to do it get hardy houseplants.
For houseplant suggestions, check out: Houseplants You Can't Kill
Of course, you can pretty much kill any houseplant if you are outright trying to do so. But some plants are just easier to care for than others. Ask around and see if your friends have cuttings for plants that are hardy plants. Maybe you can get a pothos plant cutting from them, and start growing your own pothos. For that matter, since it is such an easy plant to keep, you may be able to start giving or selling (extra cash!) cuttings to others.
If all else fails and every plant seems to die, see if you can buy some secondhand artificial plants. You will save yourself a lot of grief.
